My client is a leading sports consumer products MNC from the US. They have a strong portfolio of clients and is expanding their reach in the Greater China region. As part of their business needs, they are looking for an Accountant to join their Greater China regional office which is located in HK.

about the role

Reporting to the Finance Manager and leading a team of junior accounting staffs in HK and China, you will take up an all rounded finance and accounting role. Your key responsibility is to support the Finance Manager on in depth data analysis, also providing commentaries towards variance and any queries made by the Finance Manager and the senior management. At the same time, as a team lead to the accounting function, you will be reviewing the bookkeeping works done by the Accounting Assistants in HK and China office, while ensuring the accuracy of the information and data before proceeding to closing and/or financial analysis. Moreover, as a leading role, you will be providing guidance to the junior staffs, hence some travelling to their China office will be required (30%).

skills and experience required

• 5 or more years of Accounting and Finance experience, ideally having exposure in products trading and distribution industries
• Excellent Excel skills with excellent sensitivity to numbers
• Driven, responsible and a good team leader
• Articulate and well-presented. Fluency in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
• Degree holder in Accounting, Finance or other relevant disciplines
• Prior experience in CPA firms will be shortlisted with priority
• Open to travel to China (30%)
