Overview
As a member of the Executive Management Team, the Chief Financial Officer has a strategic role for the overall management of the company with specific responsibility for the financial success. The Chief Financial Officer also has primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company; including accounting, finance, forecasting, economic strategy and job costing.
Main Accountabilities include:
- Provide leadership in the development for continuous evaluation of short and long term strategic financial objectives.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs; strategies and regulatory actions.
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation.
- Manage costs related to the new project and product development.
- Identify efficient and effective ways to manage overall production and operational costs.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company.
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable Group and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organisation by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the Company.
- Prepare annual budgets, financial plans and interim forecasts.
