The Risk Management and Internal Controls will add value as an independent and professional business partner managing the Enterprise Risk Management process, implementing and maintaining optimal Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, implementing and maintaining the Group policies and executing/managing projects at the request of the Finance Director and/ or the Head of Global Risk Management, Internal Controls and Finance Integration.

Description
Support the RMIC Manager in implementing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting and provide assurance that they are operating effectively. Active involvement in designing solutions for areas of weakness and add value to the business. Help to drive best practice and continuous improvement in the business for the area of RMIC. Ensure the risk management process is being adhered to and that recommended actions and improvements are implemented by department managers in a timely way. Assist the local office with other internal control related processes.
Internal Controls over Financial Reporting
- Support the RMIC manager in reviewing and improving the ICFR methodology on an on-going basis
- Help to ensure the ICFR is executed and constantly improved in line with the Group ICFR methodology and deadlines
- Manage relationships with the functions of the OU and keep them informed of relevant ICFR developments and requirements
- Review the design of controls and ensure they are designed effectively and efficiently in line with Group RMIC requirements
- Test the operating effectiveness of all ICFR controls
- Ensure the impact of missing, weak and deficient controls is addressed in a timely manner by working with the OU to create solutions
- Ensure compliance to ICFR related reporting requirements
Policies and procedures
- Assist the RMIC manager and the OU with the implementation of group policies
- Ensure locally issued policies are in line with the corresponding group policies.
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)
- Ensure that the ERM is implemented and executed and constantly improved within the OU as per the ERM policies and procedures.
- Support the RMIC manager monitoring and challenging the status of local action plans
- Ensure compliance to ERM related reporting requirements
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Help to realise achievement of the departments KPIs
Additional scope
Any additional work/ projects as requested by the OU and/ or Head of Global RMIC and Finance Integration.
Profile
Required Qualifications
- University degree (or equivalent relevant higher education qualification)
A recognised professional qualification RA, ACA, ACCA, CPA (or equivalent) is required, or alternatively an RO/RE or CIA qualification.
Required Work Experience
- At least three years of work experience in financial/operating audit within a professional accountants firm and / or internal audit function.
In addition the following work experience is an advantage:
- Experience in a multinational (Head Office) organisation
- Knowledge and experience with PCAOB/SOX
Job Offer
Up to £45,000 basic + bonus + pension.
