Job purpose
The job function is a specialist role responsible in processing Equities trade transactions and corporate action processing to provide the operational support to the brokerage business. This job involves working closely with the various stakeholders within the brokerage business to provide services within agreed service level agreement.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Roles and Responsibilities in Corporate Action
- domain knowledge in corporate action processing in Securities brokerage industry
- ensure no disruptions in daily BAU in terms of accuracy and timeliness in meeting Service Level Indicator as established with Business
- Assist Team Lead and Head of Section to collate statistics for Management reporting
- Attend to internal and external customers' queries via emails/letter correspondences
- Involve in streamlining of work processes, initiatives/projects
- Perform adhoc operational duties as maybe assigned by Team Lead and Head of Section from time to time
2. Roles and Responsibilities in Contra & Contract
- Review and reconcile trade confirmations from counterparties/ brokers/ front office
- Liaise with counterparties on trade confirmation discrepancies and trade mismatches
- Enrichment of trades to ensure accurate and timely capture of trade details
- Ensuring accurate and timely settlement of trades via
- instructing of shares settlement towards brokers and custodians
- instructing of cash funding in ensuring sufficient balances for trades settlement
- instructing of shares settlement towards brokers and custodians
- Reconciliation of trades between custodians and book records
- Perform risk assessment review to ensure adequate risk control
- Perform management reporting
- Respond to enquiries
- Other operational duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years working experience in Financial Services, knowledge in trades processing and corporate action processing
- Able to work overtime
- Positive attitude
- Effective communication skills
- Eye for details and meticulous
- Pro-active with the ability to work independently and also a strong team player are essential attributes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Proficient in Client Accounting Systems and SGX systems are added advantages
- Candidates from securities/brokerage back office experience are added advantages.
