Finance Analyst

In this commercially-orientated analyst position you will support a major contract through management accounts, budgets, forecasts and providing exec level analysis of portfolio performance.

Description

Responsibilities, skills and experience include:

• Preparing of the management accounts pack, including cashflow, overheads and detailed variance analysis for the Business Units
• Consolidating the annual budget and preparing/updating the annual forecast
• Commercially analysing current portfolio performance, identifying areas where a commercial impact can be made
• Developing meaningful analysis and reports to support the review of and challenge forecasts
• Providing meaningful executive level analysis of business performance
• Generation of Board and Executive Committee reports and presentations
• Working with business areas to improve the forecasting processes
• Supporting the rolling forecast process
• Assist on the modelling of the financial implications of new business opportunities and or changes to existing contracts

Profile

Candidate profile sought:

• Qualified and 3 years relevant post qualification experience.
• Good financial & commercial acumen
• Ability to analyse complex data with accuracy
• Good communicator and strong inter-personal skills
• Excellent problem solving, analytical and customer service skills
• Excellent planning & administration skills
• Being open to innovation and new ways of working
• Innovative thinking and can do attitude
• Strong IT skills with excellent working knowledge of ERP system e.g SAP
• MS Office including Excel, Word and Powerpoint

Job Offer

This role can pay a basic salary of up to £45,000.
