Financial Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Big 4 Financial Accountant to make their next step within financial services and progress into the fast paced industry as a Financial Accountant. You will be joining one of the UK's most recognised organisations, within a large team that is constantly growing in size and stature. Our client is looking for someone who is technically strong, who processes strong numeric and analytical skills, that is confident in person.

Responsibilities

* Administer the end to end accounting month closure process and complete financial reporting
* Complete balance sheet reconciliations for all required accounts to ensure integrity of the accounts.
* Assist with the preparation of the monthly GST (BAS)
* Preparation of half year-end and/or year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors as required
* Other project work including but not limited to process and system improvements
* Other Ad-hoc tasks/ journal posting/ reports as required

Requirements

* Recently qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
* Strong knowledge of current IFRS is essential
* Knowledge and experience of corporation tax, VAT and employment tax
* Excellent computer skills including advanced Excel ability
