A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Audit Senior looking to progress their career in rapidly growing accountancy firm.
Due to continued growth and development, we are seeking a versatile person who will be pivotal in helping plan and manage audits.
You will be described as:
- Ambitious, great communicator, organised, someone who wants to make a difference by adding value to our clients, efficient and a make it happen person
- Someone who can take charge of audits and provide leadership and training to other team members
Ideally you will be:
-Be ACA/ACCA/ICAS or similar qualified
-Have at least 3 year’s of UK experience of working in accountancy practice
-MUST have audit experience
-Lead audits, performing fieldwork and audit testing on site
-Managing a team of junior auditors and reviewing their work
-Meeting tight deadlines
-Have strong communication and client liaison skills
-Have the ability to work from incomplete records or computerised TB's
-Knowledge to prepare and audit consolidated accounts
-Be able to carry out and/or oversee more complex bookkeeping work for clients
- Specialist audit experience such as FCA/SRA/Charities preferred
-A broad background of experience is required including preparation of financial statements, working knowledge of computing corporation tax and a track record of supervising staff and dealing with face to face with clients.
This is a role which will suit somebody who enjoys the variety offered by a general practice firm dealing with the requirements of a range of businesses from owner managed entities to heavily regulated and listed entities.
It is anticipated that progression to Manager will be achievable as the role develops over time.
The successful applicant will benefit from working alongside the directors, taking responsibility for specific clients as they are delegated as part of a client portfolio to manage, which will develop your client, practice assurance and staff management skills.
To a large extent, you will be working independently and have a lot of freedom.
