Principle Internal Auditor

This role is tasked with assisting the head of Internal Audit and Internal Audit Manager in a broad range of Internal Audit responsibilities covering, finance, operations, H&S and projects. The role is people focused with business partnering playing a key part.

Client Details

The client is a registered housing association operating in a wide range of areas and is looking to expand fairly rapidly. As the country is in the middle of a housing affordability crisis, they are trying to focus heavily on increasing the quantity of houses they are building, especially within the London boroughs.

Description

• Leading on Risk based audits throughout the business
• Support the management of a team including three senior auditors
• Work closely with people across the business as a trusted advisor
• To support in the delivery of an ambitious, yet achievable, annual audit plan
• To use communication skills to influence decision making across the business

Profile

• Qualified in either accountancy or Internal Audit
• Experience of leading Audit assignments from end to end
• Experience of supervising a team or directly managing
• Highly developed interpersonal skills
• Able to demonstrate commercial financial acumen
• Some experience with counter fraud is preferable
• Able to contribute new and innovative ideas
