This position focuses heavily on supporting the Business Partner on cost analysis, preparation of annual budgets and forecasting and providing high level reports on Year End expectations.

This position focuses heavily on supporting the Business Partner on cost analysis, preparation of annual budgets and forecasting and providing high level reports on Year End expectations. You'll be highlighting trends, analysing results versus budget / prior years and Analysing the key ratios.
Description
Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant:
- Understand the Group Strategy and Five Year Plan , and the specific short and medium term targets you are involved in influencing
- Support the business area in supporting the preparation of annual budgets and forecasting including the Full P&L, balance sheet & cash flow, Clear assumption, Monthly phased budgets, Obtaining budget sign off, Producing quarterly / ad hoc re-forecasts and have a clear understanding of KPIs.
- Understanding of accounting policies, chart of accounts/cost centres/account codes, how numbers will be produced
- Produce revenue, cost, balance sheet, cash flow
- Checking and challenging numbers
- Understand tax treatments
- Performing reconciliations
- Support the business partner in reporting of financial performance
- Monthly P&L, balance sheet and cash flow analysis
- Production of Group reports that inform business leaders & Exec
- Ensure business area understands their reported numbers & impacts
- Analyse results versus budget / prior years
- Analyse key ratios
Profile
The successful Candidate:
- Competent user of Excel
- Qualified or Part Qualified CIMA / ACCA or equivalent
- Financial Modelling Skills
- Good Analytical skills
- Understanding of relevant commercial disciplines
- Good relationship management and influencing skills
- good Organisation skills
- Ability to assimilate information
- Good communications skills - written and verbal
- Agresso knowledge desirable
