The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity to join our leading EY Law practise where you will have the chance to work with high profile organisations on a range of diverse and interesting employment law matters. We employ a multi-disciplinary approach and have encompassed cutting edge technology to provide robust and timely insights that are at the forefront of helping our clients manage issues to do with the future of work, gig economy and enterprise agreement compliance to name a few
Your key responsibilities
- Providing high quality advice to internal and external clients (both in Australia and internationally);
- Reviewing and interpreting legislation and industrial instruments and conducting BOOT analysis for compliance projects and EBA drafting;
- Advising and representing clients in relation to employee claims such as general protection and unfair dismissal claims
- Drafting employment policies, the full suite of employment contracts, related assignment letters and documentation
- Minimum 6 years PQE
- Thirst for ongoing learning and development, keeping abreast of new technology and developments in the employment law space
- Demonstrated experience in growing accounts with impeccable client facing skills
- Strong people and culture leader with a natural ability to build rapport across all levels
- Excellent technical ability and strong commercial acumen
- A positive approach and can-do attitude
- Experience in an Australian top-tier, mid-tier, boutique employment law firm or Big 4 legal practice
- The ability to run matters with limited supervision, but with ultimate partner sign off
- A detailed understanding and demonstrative knowledge of Australian employment law
