As a Tribe Coach in our Ways of Working Centre of Expertise you will partner with Leaders to embed a culture of learning, empowerment, rapid experimentation, adaptability and collaboration. You will also coach the Leaders on their impact, effectiveness and New Ways of Leading, helping to ensure that NWOW practices, methodology and capability are embedded, and the Tribe or Centre of Expertise are performing effectively. You will be an ambassador of the new culture and will create customer-focused, high performing teams, delivering true business value.

Who are you?
  • You are interested in further developing your knowledge of Agile practices, Human Centred Design and Systems thinking
  • You have experience in coaching and mentoring people
  • You are a connector across the organisation and you can bring people together to solve customer problems
  • You have the deep coaching skills required to coach Leaders on their role in driving the new way of working culture
  • You are passionate about building high performing teams and driving organisational effectiveness
  • You thrive on collaborating with others
  • You constructively challenge people across the organisation in order to enable change
What’s in your toolkit?
  • Partnering with and coaching the Tribe Lead, Technology Area Lead, Product Owners, Portfolio Lead and Tribe Performance Lead to embed the NWOW culture, behaviours and New Ways of Leading
  • Fostering alignment between Tribes and CoEs to ensure that they are able to execute on their purposes
  • Continuously assessing the functioning and culture of the Tribe in order to close gaps and drive continuous improvement
  • Driving collaboration and knowledge sharing between Tribes, CoEs and their stakeholders in the broader ecosystem
  • Ensuring the Tribe is performing and realising its ambitions of faster time to customer value, high team engagement and improved productivity
  • Working with the squad level coaches within the Tribe on the approach to improve individual and squad effectiveness
  • Assisting the Product Owners with their role of writing user stories and prioritising their backlog
  • Actively contributing to the ongoing development of new ways of working through research and experimentation (incl. on Human Centred Design and Systems Thinking)
A Day in the Life … Everyday will be different but some key activities are:
  • Coach Tribe Leads to create an environment of clarity, safety and trust, in which their squads can thrive
  • Work with Leaders to embed Agile practices and build maturity
  • Contribute to the growth culture ensuring ANZ is a great place to both work and grow
  • Observe leadership dynamics and coach on impact and leadership effectiveness
  • Nurture curiosity and continuous
  • Mentor, coach and develop expertise in the Tribe Lead and Technology Area Lead as well as guiding the development of Product Owners
  • Keep abreast of the latest Agile developments and trends and introduce best practices to the Tribe
  • Ongoing development of agile capability in the tribe
  • Partner with the Tribe Lead to ensure objectives are realised and the effectiveness of the Tribe is optimised
  • Ensure Squads within the Tribe commit to clear missions aligned to the Tribe purpose
  • Create clarity on way of working and help to remove blockers
  • Safeguard an atmosphere that allows proactive feedback and early failure
  • Promote the use of consistent and fit-for-purpose tools and practices
  • Synthesise multiple data points and draw insight on the functioning of the broader system to enable greater synergy across Tribes
  • Hold Leaders true to the purpose of their Tribe and the strategic objectives of ANZ
