Data Services Customer
As an MDM Engineer, you will form part of the Data Services Customer Tech Area within the Data Services Domain.
The main focus of our Tribe is to create a system of people, process and technology (on premise and cloud), built for agility, to provide data and capabilities for our customer facing business areas (including Aus division and Institutional) to create business and customer value, by being in the moment with our customers.

You will be part of a fantastic team that will engineer, design, build, test and support applications for Cloud Data Platforms.

What does a 'day in the life' look like

• Works in collaborative teams to build innovative solutions to deliver MDM Platforms (starting with IBM MDM Platform) for ANZ.
  
• Utilises tools and practices to build, verify and deploy solutions in the most efficient ways, enhancing Data Services capabilities
  
• Implements a culture within the Tribe and the Chapter, encouraging best practices around reviews, quality and documentation
  
• Contributes to Engineering communities, meetups and conferences to promote technology development culture and practices
  
• Provide ongoing support for platforms as required e.g. problem and incident management
  
• Creates estimates and continuously reviews demand within the individual Squads/teams
  
• May create, understand and monitor application metrics
  

What will be in your toolkit:

• You have a background in Software Engineering (mainly Java) along with experience in implementing complex solutions
  
• You will have a solid understanding of Java/J2EE/Spring/Microservice development to be able to design, implement and triage defects or issues
  
• You have experience with build automation tools and testing tools like maven, gradle, Mockito, Junit
  
• A bonus would be having experience working with container technologies like Docker, OpenShift and Kubernetes, however this is not mandatory.
  
• Webspehere Application Server experience again is desired but not mandatory
  
• Data mastering/matching (preferably IBM MDM Advanced Edition) experience is a bonus
  
• You enjoy understanding customer needs so you make sound judgments and deliver quality solutions.
  
• Demonstrates an understanding of good software engineering practices including CI/CD, Automated testing.
