We are recruiting a Data Analyst to join our exciting Santander Milton Keynes Office. As our Data Analyst, you will manage the quality and control services for all data domains within the business. Working with Data Quality & Control you are responsible for data within reporting databases and warehouses. The Data Analyst will assist the implementation of new Quality and Control models to ensure that Lake data is accurate, complete and appropriate for all internal users.

To be successful you will need to understand the importance of data quality within the organisation and will have practical experience of working in a flexible and changing environment. You will need to be willing to embrace new technologies and be able to demonstrate continuous control improvements from your past experience.

What Will you be Doing?
  • Define and build data controls using a variety of tools
  • Evaluate and understand data quality results, assessing and communicating the impacts
  • Support the resolution of issues in conjunction with internal customers and IT
  • Provide expert knowledge into project workstreams and user testing
  • Represent the team, as a subject matter expert, in meetings and workshops
  • Manage key relationships with internal customers, project personnel and IT
  • Support the control governance framework by producing accurate documentation

Skills & Experience required:

Essential
  • Knowledge/experience of using SQL to interrogate, manipulate and report on data
  • Able to identify, assess and articulate risks in the movement and transformation of data
  • Experience of large volume data analysis, interpretation of results and production of summaries/ recommendations
  • Able to evaluate and focus on efforts that add value and are aligned to strategic objectives
  • Proven ability in identifying, analysing and successfully resolving issues
  • Disciplined and structured attitude that can balance conflicting priorities to deliver to tight deadlines
