The role
This role is a key member of the external Brand Communications team delivering an Integrated Communications & Activist Strategy for the UK market. The role will assist in executing tactical activations across PR, Media, Events & Social to build visibility, generate endorsement and deepen the emotional connection between media/influencer/customers and products, services and campaigns to ultimately drive customer acquisition.

The role
This role is a key member of the external Brand Communications team delivering an Integrated Communications & Activist Strategy for the UK market. The role will assist in executing tactical activations across PR, Media, Events & Social to build visibility, generate endorsement and deepen the emotional connection between media/influencer/customers and products, services and campaigns to ultimately drive customer acquisition.
Key accountabilities
- Social Media Strategy: Day to day running and execution of social media plans across multiple platforms to cultivate and drive high levels of customer and influencer engagement. Working closely with the International Digital Team to ensure the Social Media Strategy including brand look/ feel and tone of voice is delivered, as well as Customer Relations agency supporting community management.
- Create social content calendars: Includes copyrighting, uploading images and content from a suite of International assets, scheduling posts, using tools such as Sprinklr & owned platforms e.g. Facebook, Twitter
- Reporting & social listening: Monitor and evaluate social media campaigns and feedback to wider team. Monitor social media trends, reacting to stories that will align with the company purpose
- Creative thinking: Write engaging copy for social channels and develop ideas for mail-outs and events to support the Comms strategy
- Press office enquiries: Respond to press office emails and phone calls from media and influencers regarding brand information or call ins for products/ images
- Build media and influencer network: Nurture existing media/ influencer relationships and source new that are a fit for the brand
- Influencer strategy: Maintain and develop a strong network of influencers/ ambassadors to deliver meaningful coverage across paid and organic. Oversee International advocacy/ ambassador programme plan (Brand Heroes)
- Proactive product PR: Help to co-ordinate mail-outs for NPD/ seasonal and icons working with junior members of staff and external agencies
- Events: Support with the creation, organisation, promotion and execution of informative and insta-worthy PR events, as well as exciting, market-leading consumer experiences that encourage trial and (re)consideration of the Brand
- Agency support: Work alongside and help manage external VIP, Influencer, Social and Production agencies on projects and BAU activity
Skills & experience
- 2 years’ PR, Social and event experience in a similar large complex multi-site retailer/FMCG (beauty/toiletries industry strongly preferred) or agency setting
- Experience of working with analytical tools e.g. Kantar, My Market Insights, Google Analytics, Sprinklr.
- Proven track record of overseeing social media channels and community management
- Previous success in converting plans into real results
- Experience of collating and analysing information to determine success and insights
- Relevant experience in PR/Marketing/Social Media
