As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for a sizeable payroll on both a weekly and monthly basis whilst managing a large payroll team split across several teams.

Our client is based south of Birmingham - commutable from areas such Solihull, Redditch and Bromsgrove.

Description

The successful Payroll Manager will be responsible for the following;

  • Leading on all aspects of the payroll function, including processing and ensuring compliance with the latest relevant legislation

  • Managing and coaching the Payroll team to ensure they are fully supported and highly motivated to deliver a first-class service

  • Providing technical support for payroll, reward and benefits

  • Working with the Payroll team and wider business to ensure employee benefits are managed effectively

  • Supporting HR & Payroll activities related to Group employees

Profile

The ideal candidate will have;

  • A proven record of managing a team within a Shared Service environment

  • Knowledge and practise of managing a large payroll

  • Good knowledge of Employee/Payroll/Benefit systems

  • Excellent organisational skills and project management

  • The ability to multi-task and work well under pressure

  • Excellent IT skills, MS Office Knowledge, Advanced EXCEL

  • CIPP Qualification desirable although not essential but must have payroll and management experience
