Recoveries and Loan Securities Officer This position contributes to the success of the organisation by ensuring delinquent loans are minimized as well as ensuring that all securities held as collateral against loans granted are continuously updated. Main Responsibilities: Contact and/or notify all members whose loans are in arrears and seek payment arrangements from these members to return their account to a current status. This includes conducted necessary telephone contact, meetings and preparing letters to members. Implement delinquency control and collection procedures Liaise with collection agencies to collect outstanding loans from members whose loan account is classified as delinquent. Liaise with Finance Manager, General Manager and attorneys where loans have progressed to legal action. Where delinquency exercises are carried out, such as repossessions or foreclosures on assets being held as security, liaise with the respective bailiff/attorney on the developments of these exercises to provide updates to management. Prepare weekly and monthly Delinquency Reports and Collection Activity Reports Follow up to ensure all securities assigned to the organisation (to be held as collateral against loans taken) are put in place and assigned as required (where applicable security documents are to be scanned and attached to members account) Liaise with Insurance agencies to ensure that insurance renewals are sent to the organisation annually When release of securities is requested, ensure that the liability has been paid off or is in a fully covered position, and prepare the necessary documentation for the release. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or General Manager. Minimum Qualifications & Experience: 5 CXC/GCE/CAPE O'Level passes including, Mathematics, English and Accounts Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (knowledge of Emortelle will be an asset) Current police certificate of good character Experience in financial institutions would be an asset.
