This role will take on the overall ownership & management of the production of all financial statements, across the group, whilst managing the oversight and reconciliation, for the purpose of management reporting, to ensure strong financial accounting linked to assets under management and the consolidation of the corporate ledger. This role shall also be steered towards the policy review of reporting processes, to ensure robust controls and governance, aligned to the business needs and to accommodate any financial & accounting intricacies. This role will take leadership responsibility for the finance & accounting team and shall, in turn, manage all the required internal and external relationships with the required stakeholders. From a technical prospective, this role shall take responsibility for all financial accounting technicalities; to ensure the accurate general ledger management, whilst in turn, developing the reporting and accounting policy to reflect the business need and any regulatory change or update. Critically, this role will also cover the functional area of fund accounting, to ensure adequate and ongoing valuations, recording and portfolio analysis required for investment reviews, performance reviews and liquidity positions.
The successful candidate should be a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA), whom is able to demonstrate a minimum of 8 years post-qualified experience, within a corporate controlling and financial management environment. Applicants shall possess exposure to working within top tier asset management firms, pension funds or sovereign wealth funds. Coupled with this, the candidates shall be expected to demonstrate a strong technical coverage within fund accounting and administration along with exposure to working across a range of asset classes; spanning private equity, infrastructure, hedge funds and real estate. The nature of this organisation also demands a strong soft skill-set; whereby candidates will be required to demonstrate a strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management capability.
