MANUFACTURING ACCOUNTANT

Key Responsibilities and Duties include to: Audit the processes in the Operations Department to ensure compliance with existing Internal Controls. Prepare monthly production variance analyses and provide explanations for budget against actual performance & actual performance against prior year. Continually analyse the plant productivity and efficiency levels and make recommendations to, improve the efficient utilisation of labour, materials and equipment and minimize operating costs Compile daily production reports, investigate, analyse and report on output variances. Prepare on a weekly basis scrap and process reports and submit to the Operations Team Managers. Review and analyse inventory and margin reports, conduct research and perform analytical studies in regards to cost analyses and profitability Assist with the preparation of budget for the Cost of Sales area of the Company Work on special projects as required Specific Knowledge & Skills Requirements: Sound knowledge of production operations. Working knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Good interpersonal skills. Results and detailed oriented. Excellent time management skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective oral and written communication skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
