The role: Financial Controller
Main duties:
- Responsible for day-to-day management of finance and accounts operation.
- Management of reporting of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts to senior management and the board.
- Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and work closely with the operations and sales teams in analysing the business's KPIs.
- Responsible for high-quality, accurate and on-time, insight driven financial and operations analysis and reporting - translate insights into recommendations and actions.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls and procedures.
- Manage the annual budgeting process working with key stakeholders.
- Manage reconciliation and filing of quarterly and annual payroll/vat/corporation tax returns.
- Responsible for year-end audit process, annual returns and tax compliance.
- Liaise with external third-parties; banks, auditors, etc.
- Providing strategic financial support to the CEO. • Financial modelling and analysis.
Requirements: - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with a minimum 3-4 years' PQE and 1-2 years in a similar role.
- An ability to work according to agreed deadlines on multiple workstreams and manage workload efficiently.
- Strong commercial awareness and an ability to concisely articulate viewpoints; both verbally and in writing.
- Be prepared to meaningfully contribute to strategy at a senior level.
- Strong background in analysis, planning and reporting.
- Proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work on his/her own initiative.
- Excellent IT skills.
