Investment Management Auditor

To take the primary lead in delivering investment related audit engagements via recognised audit methodologies including internal and externally managed portfolios and also with consideration of outsourced functions.
To develop and maintain stakeholder relations with the investment team to optimise engagements and support risk embedding
To collaborate with the second line functions to support risk management and FCA compliance
To support the Head of Business Assurance deliver the audit plan through best practice audit techniques
To support the Business Assurance Officers in their development and provide oversight and coaching
To maintain awareness of industry developments to support the risk based approach to audit engagements, generally within internal audit and specifically within the investment field
To identify loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
To provide insight into the annual audit plan
To provide assurance on project delivery
To monitor and appraise business interventions to mitigate risk
To support the Head of Business Assurance in preparing and delivering audit reports to broad stakeholder groups at Director level
Carry out any other audit, investigation and review work as may be required by the Head of Business Assurance.

Qualifications

Recognised professional accounting / auditing qualification (such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA)
Educated to degree standard
Investment related qualification (desirable)

Experience

Experienced in all aspects of internal audit / risk management role within an Investment FCA regulated environment
Managing stakeholders at Director level
Performing reviews of external providers (suppliers and investment managers)
