JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Operations Controller, with a strong day–to–day relationship to the Operations Director, the Finance Manager will become the primary business partner to the operations leaders.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

* Function as the primary business partner to the Area Director on all matters relating to the business.
* Provide business partnership to operations and sales to help achieve targets set by executive leadership.
* Lead annual planning process for area. Function's as the primary interface between corporate and area–level budgeting and planning ensuring corporate guidance and assumptions are adhered to.
* Lead monthly forecasting process, providing process and analytical support to the districts
* Responsible for timely and accurate closure of accounting records including but not limited to revenue and cost accruals.
* Consolidates monthly/quarterly reporting packages, ensuring presentation materials are in accordance with guidance from centralized FP&A.
* Provide daily support to district and region level operations and functions. Responsible for maintaining a high level of financial acumen in the field, ensuring decisions are made in the best financial interest of the company. (business cases, contract reviews, etc.).
* Manage the execution of annual physical asset and inventory audits, ensuring all discrepancies were reported and corrected.
* Act as a primary extension of corporate internal controls, both accounting and operational.
* Coach, train and improve accounting finance understanding at district level.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting.
* Minimum 7 years' experience in Oil & Gas preferred.
* Ability to lead and take initiative by independently identifying and driving to closure many business issues and prioritize among several priorities.
* Very strong analytical thinker who understands how to use data to help Operations arrive at informed decisions.
* Experience with monthly and annual planning/forecasting and influencing various operational inputs to provide timely, accurate and reasonable forecast inputs.
* Must be strong in basic Excel functionality (lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
* Must be able to present detailed and complex finance and process information in highly summarized and organized formats ready for executive review. Strong communication skills are a must.
* Must be a self–starter who can independently identify and drive issues to resolution with moderate levels of guidance.
* Demonstrable team player who has the ability to interact across the company with various functions at various levels.
* Microsoft Dynamics experience helpful.
* Must be flexible with maximum of 25% travel
