Experienced Finance Manager /Accountant for Edmonton based Company .

Market leading Manufacturing group based in Enfield ,North London ,require an experienced Management Accountant to work within a busy Finance department . Reporting to the Finance Director and supervising a small team your duties will include
  • Overseeing and covering the day to day transactional processing and cash management functions
  • indirectly managing up to 12 staff
  • Production of monthly management accounts for 7 companies
  • Month end closure and Financial Accounts preparation
  • Consolidated Monthly management accounts for 9 subsidiary companies
  • Annual Audit / draft accounts preparation to Statutory level ready for the Auditors to review
  • Effective Cash Management on daily /weekly basis
  • Daily cash flow monitoring ,analysis and reporting
  • Intrastat returns and VAT reporting
  • Cost of sales reporting and analysis
  • Weekly analysis of KPI's and reporting to the FD and senior management
  • Preparing budgets ,forecasts and monthly variance analysis and commentary for the board
  • Product costing and margin analysis
  • Cash book , bank reconciliations and foreign exchange calculations in £ ,$ and Euros
  • Monitoring and management of the invoice Factoring function to ensure availability of cash
  • Day to day monitoring of EDI system and addressing of IT issues .
  • Monthly Stock reporting and work in progress valuations


The ideal candidate will :
Be a qualified or part qualified accountant with at least 5 years relevant experience
  • Have excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal with people at all levels
  • Be self motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
  • Have strong computer skills including sage and excel
  • Come from a commercial production/distribution /manufacturing environment
  • Have the maturity and desire to progress into a more senior role in the future
