Wade Macdonald is currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager for a well-known and rapidly growing FTSE 250 company based in Basingstoke.
The Commercial Pricing Manager is responsible for defining, agreeing and evolving a pricing strategy to enable all relevant sales channels to communicate pricing across a number of different products & technologies. This new role gives the individual the opportunity to design and manage a new and constantly evolving pricing strategy that is a significant step change to the culture of the business.
You will support and challenge the business to apply and develop a sustainable best in class pricing model. Assist and advise key stakeholders on the structure and development of commercial pricing strategies in order to maximise business profitability across complex multi-faceted commercial propositions spanning multiple business units and sales teams. Creation and assessment of innovative multi-faceted commercial solutions that are new to the industry.
Supported by the pricing data analysts you will conduct profitability, price sensitivity, and risk scenario analysis and identify opportunities for price optimisation. Development of internal tools and processes to support the evolution of the UK business and the changing requirements from their customers. Conduct competitive product and price positioning analysis. Embed the pricing governance structure in the organisation.
The successful Commercial Finance Manager will be a qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) Accountant with proven experience developing compelling commercial & pricing propositions. Experience within a Distribution / Retail / IT organisation is highly desirable as is demonstrable knowledge of Commercial contract issues affecting pricing. You must be able to quickly establish credibility and rapport with sales & business staff and to form teams across organisational boundaries.
