Sewell Wallis are currently supporting a large and well known business based on the outskirts of York with their search for a Commercial Finance Manager. This role would suit an ambitious individual with a real drive to add value and make improvements to a commercial finance function.

The Commercial Finance Manager will be responsible for challenging the business on its performance and providing astute commercial analysis to support with commercial decision making across the business. You will regularly present to board level and will have regular contact with the Finance Director and Executive Directors.

Reporting into an impressive Head of Commercial Finance, your responsibilities will include the following:-

-Deliver financial KPI's around sales, margin and promotional analysis on a weekly and monthly basis to support and challenge the business
-Develop the BI available for decision making
-Business performance analysis at a category and regional level, advising how profit can be increased across a wide variety of business areas
-Perform variance analysis on weekly and year to date sales, wholesale margin and all other relevant income and costs
-Produce rolling forecasts in partnership with the Director and their team, creating detailed plans to reflect the company budget and quarterly rolling forecasts
-Attend regular business decision making meetings, providing insightful information to demonstrate where risk can be avoided and where the opportunities to improve profit and cash flow exist
-Leading and motivating two direct reports
-Implement reporting and process improvements to develop accuracy and completeness of financial information
-Deliver new system improvements alongside IT as the functional lead for finance

To be considered for this position you must:-

-Be a qualified accountant or equivalent
-Be able to demonstrate a strong and successful career in commercial finance
-Have worked in a large and fast paced company
-Be resilient and enthusiastic
-Strong analytical and Excel skills
