I am currently looking to speak to top quality interim Financial Controllers who are looking to engage with a new and exciting opportunity.

The Role:

I am currently working with a Private Equity-backed insurance intermediary that is preparing for its first year-end audit as a PE backed business. You will work closely with their fantastic Group FC across two prominent areas; acquisition accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Having recently been acquired by a reputable lower-mid cap PE house, you will be engaged on completing the acquisition accounting under FRS102. This will require an understanding of how to account for debt on the balance sheet from the leveraged transaction.
  • Creation of the revenue recognition reports; pulling data from the bluebook and modelling the revenue report model. This will be a very manual process on Excel and will require strong Excel modelling skills and a very accurate approach to the numbers.
  • Ad-hoc assistance leading up to the year-end audit by PwC.

The Requirements:
  • Applicants must be qualified accountants.
  • Ideally you will have insurance/ insurance broker experience.
  • Private Equity exposure/ understanding of debt on the balance sheet is highly advantageous.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Previous experience with FRS102.
  • Must be available within 1 week.
