Job Description:

We are delighted to be partnering with a pioneering venture capital backed tech firm based in central London. They are experiencing rapid and sustained growth and are consequently looking to bring on board a motivated and focused Financial Controller.

The role:

The successful applicant will work with corporate business leaders on key initiatives where Accounting expertise is required and report directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on M&A processes, with responsibility for FP&A and business partnering activity
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements, with responsibility for all journal entries and month end reconciliations
  • P&L analysis
  • Annual budget preparation and monthly reforecasts
  • Year-end audit process handling and accountability for the year-end trial balance
  • Monthly and quarterly VAT tax calculation and filing



The requirements:
  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • M&A and FP&A experience, with exposure to the tech industry preferable
  • Business partnering experience and an ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A self-starter with strong self-motivation and an innate ability to solve problems
  • Strong organisational skills with a deadline accountability
  • The ability to work independently, in a team and under pressure
  • Month end reporting experience
