Primary Location: United Kingdom,Northern Ireland,Belfast Education: None Job Function: Operations Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Employee Status: Regular Travel Time: No Job ID: 19009911 Description DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: The Institutional Client Group (ICG) Control Reporting team is a global function, created to provide senior management with operational business intelligence on performance, exposure and productivity across all product groups within OandT. The RADAR (Risk and Data Analytics reporting) team is responsible BSER and ALPS reporting programs BSER reporting focus on tracking monitoring and ultimately substantiating ICG's balance sheet exposure and inherent risks associated. Partners and stakeholders include the Operations, Line Control, settlements, reconciliation, technology and Regulatory reporting teams. ALPS Project team is responsible for procuring internal trade data to mitigate internal trader fraud risks as well as the highlighting and reporting of high risk exceptions in order to be transparent on high risk trades. Partners and stakeholders include the front office, middle office, settlements and operations risk management. Candidate requirements: The RADAR team is looking for a solid multi-faceted business analyst whom can apply themselves to a wide range of tasks at any one time. Additionally there will be a need to manage and execute regular RTB type functions across the major themes described below as necessary. Candidate will need to bring a willingness to learn a broad range of product knowledge and skills but also garner a 'roll up your sleeves attitude' to ensure delivery of team's end product. Key Responsibilities: • Data analysis and execution of multiple key initiatives to transform and improve BSER process • Owning and contributing to automation projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle e.g. Requirements Specification, UAT Testing and Sign Off, Rollout and Post Production Checkouts • New Reconciliation on boarding for BSER reporting • Migration projects impacting BSER and system upgrades • BSER 2.0 - Support the transformation initiative from BSER commentary process. • Business Rules (Jrules) analysis and documentation • BSER Reduction, Production Efficiency- Collaborate with Global BSER reporting team and Operations to Identify opportunities ; Identify and track to closure. • Remediate manual reporting of BSER. • Real Time Fails Reporting enhancements and query resolution for operations Tasks Include (but are not solely confined to): • Actively facilitate and lead global BSER team calls to capture updates on the progress of all CTB projects within any of the major PMA streams • Understanding and utilize standard processes, design and testing tools throughout project development life cycle • Face-off with Operations, IT, Internal Audit, Line Control to a very senior level as a representative • Partner with Operations and Line Control officers to facilitate BSER commentary process to succinctly narrate and articulate the risk by analysing global balance sheet exception reports • Identify areas of inefficiency and implement system and process improvements in the spirit of continuous improvement. Work closely with Operations and line control and track to closure thus reducing exceptions and risk • Understand and assist where required all the RTB functions that our CSC in Mumbai manage. Often PMA staffs outside of Mumbai that sit near our main client base perform a liaison role between Ops and our CSC. These relationships should be nourished. • Develop SME level knowledge of BSER, ALPS and real time reporting and workflow platforms and providing training and assistance to end users • Excellent presentation skills with exquisite attention to detail. RADAR team often has to publish, idea, concepts, updates to a broad range of recipients so being able to swiftly put together a succinct series of presentation slides is imperative Qualifications • Extensive experience in Investment Banking Operations or IT. Business Intelligence background preferred especially with experience with operational risk and control. • Experience in Settlement and Reconciliations area would be an additional advantage. • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including use of Logical, Data and Text functions in order to manipulate and analyse large datasets • Effective use of Word and PowerPoint to create succinct project documentation and senior management presentations • Ability to facilitate global calls and manage various stakeholders at all levels of seniority • Ability to build consensus. History of success working in a team environment. • Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities. • Monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes • Willingness to ask questions, challenge the process and seek out answers • Ability to work independently, multi-task and take ownership of projects and change initiatives • Strong team player with the ability to work as part of a global team • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Logical thinker and ability to come up with solutions • Working knowledge of data warehouse and experience of Business Objects highly desirable • A working knowledge of typical trade life cycle and capital markets products • Project Management and direct experience of all phases within project lifecycle (SCRUM,6 SIGMA knowledge very applicable) • Qlikview Business Intelligence Technology knowledge advantageous particularly at developer level.
