Financial Conroller, Chesterfield, £50k - £55k
It's a great role for someone who wants to take the reigns for a finance department but wants the comfort of reporting into a superb FD who will act as your mentor.
It could be someone making their first FC move or an experienced Controller who is looking to settle down for the long term.
You'll be joining an owner managed business, sub £50m turnover and a broad focused role. You'll take responsibility for a small finance team and the role itself is a mix of management and financial accounts but more geared towards the former. With it being a smaller business, the progression would only be into the FD role which is a possibility in the medium term, or you could use this as a 3-5 year stepping stone into an FD role elsewhere. This role will give you all the experience / exposure to enable you to do this.
It would suit someone who has a background in SME sector and if you know your standard costing that would help you make a smooth transition.
