Accountable Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well established organisation based in Liverpool City Centre for a Financial Controller on a 12 month fixed term contract. Scope of Role
o Prepare monthly consolidated management accounts
o Prepare monthly reporting pack for the Board of Directors
o Present to relevant parties (internal and external)
o Interpret to financial and non-financial colleagues as appropriate
o Develop reporting methods in use
o Produce and analyse information for performance monitoring
o Prepare all relevant information to the external auditors to facilitate the annual audit
o Prepare consolidated financial statements for the MSIF Group and financial statements for the individual members of it
o Ensure all investments are valued in accordance with recognised principles
o Prepare taxation reporting packs, and ensure all tax notes are reflected in the financial statements
o Liaise with auditors to ensure that the Financial Statements can be filed within the FCA timescales
o prepare annual budget for the business and the funds
o consolidate budget
o liaise with advisors regarding the Corporation Tax computations
o Ensure the timely submission of Corporation Tax returns to HMRC
o Prepare the quarterly Vat return and annual partial exemption adjustment
o Ensure that policies are applied correctly and appropriately
o Ensure all submissions are met accurately and in a timely manner
o Review and improve system of Treasury management, optimising the interest return for the Group
o Develop processes whereby reliable cashflow information is provided to relevant parties
o Ensure appropriate level of cash are available when needed
o Manage the drawdown process to ensure an appropriate flow of monies is maintained
o supervisory role of company payroll, confirming changes as appropriate
o Ensure compliance with pensions auto-enrolment rules
o Develop and improve accounting systems and processes including TAS, Sentinel, payroll and Online Banking
o ensure that the finance function operates effectively
o develop team members to maximise their effectiveness
o prepare and interpret information as and when required e.g. Bank, Government, Partners - review legal and accounting issues within all aspects of the Group
o work with other members of the Group to secure additional fund management contracts
o maintain and develop relationships externally e.g. Government, Banks, Responsible Finance etc
o maintain and develop relationships internally
o manage office premises, including relocation/improvement where appropriate
o ensure contracts for service are reviewed regularly for value for money
- Management Accounts
