Interim Accountant

Our client, a large public sector organisation with offices in central Bristol, is seeking an interim Accountant to work with them for the next 3 to 6 months, working across a variety of different areas within finance.

This person will play a crucial role with supporting the link between the transactional and senior accounting areas of the business.

Description

The key responsibilities of the role will include, but not be limited to;

• Basic data analysis
• Supplier recharges and payments
• Transactional reporting
• Posting ledgers to journals
• Some accruals & prepayments work

Profile

The successful candidate may be part qualified, although this is not essential.

You will have experience of working from a transactional level upwards, having completed accruals & prepayments, dealt with high volume reconciliations, posted journals, managed large volumes of data within Excel, and prepared reports for colleagues.

You will also be immediately available, or on a maximum of 1 to 2 weeks notice, and available to work on a temporary basis for the next 3 to 6 months.

Job Offer

In return, we can offer an hourly / daily rate in line with band 6 / 7 of the public sector framework, which equates approximately to an annual salary of between £25,000 & £35,000, depending on your level of qualification and experience.
