Job Title: Part time Financial Controller
Salary: £35,000 pa (pro rata)
Location: Near Stansted
Term: Permanent Part time (15 hours)
My client, a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, is looking for a bright and highly organised individual to support and develop their finance team.
This role will be a crucial part of a small dynamic team that provides an outsourced accounting function to a growing Fintech company. The Financial Controller will be responsible for the accounting function, ensuring books and records are maintained and maintaining the company’s reporting’s structure.
The role of Financial Controller
Day to day responsibility for the accounting and book-keeping functions, ensuring books and records are maintained to business and legal requirements.
Weekly bank reconciliations
Monthly reconciliation of accounts
Maintain Fixed Asset registrars
Progressing accounts receivable/payable functions, processing invoices, payments and reconciliations
Preparation and filing of VAT returns
Assist in various treasury functions including cashflow monitoring, and administration duties
Preparation of monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner for key stakeholders and board members
Production of monthly review pack
Yearend account preparations
Work closely with Senior management/Financial Director
Support Finance Director in strategic/ad hoc project work
To be Considered for the role of Part time Financial Controller
Part or newly Qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent)
Experience in a similar role
Good understanding of accounting principles
Excellent Excel and all MS Office application skills
Highly accurate and meticulous eye for detail
Excellent team player

Basic salary £35,000 pa (pro rata)
