Our client is a global business with offices based in Huntingdon.
Due to impending maternity leave they are looking to recruit a post qualified professional candidate to join them and oversee a team.
The role will be varied and requires strong technical capabilities and expertise and duties will include;
Balance sheet and variance analysis
Treasury reporting
Capital spend forecasts
Commissions reporting
Reviewing and approval of monthly group balance sheet account reconciliations
Reviewing month-end results
Monthly preparation and review of group variance analysis
Supporting the Group Financial Controller
Preparation and submission of the UK and European consolidated group report
Preparation of restructuring forecasts and tracking expenditure
Reviewing Capex Forecasts and preparation of the monthly Consolidated Group Capital Spend report including completion of the Group Capex Forecast for the Controller's Group and the Capex Slide for the monthly management packs
Statutory Reporting
Liaison with both External and Internal Audit teams
Cash & Treasury Management
Cashflows and working capital monitoring
looking after company insurance
Review & approval of monthly VAT account reconciliations
Internal controls monitoring
Overseeing Accounts Payable function
This is an all-encompassing role that requires a qualified accountant with expertise in technical accounting. Whilst the role is a contract, as it is long-term and the current incumbent is not going to be leaving immediately someone who is on a notice period would also be considered.
Excellent IT skills, notably in Excel are essential and exposure to managing a small team is also important.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work to deadlines and will have a keen eye for detail.
This is a challenging role that will suit someone who likes being busy but also wants a work / life balance.
