This is a high profile role working with Senior Leadership to drive our overall growth strategy for two of EY's global accounts. The opportunity

The Global Account Financial Advisor (GAFA) is a finance professional with robust knowledge and experience that is dedicated to one or more of the most complex global accounts serviced by EY. The GAFA will provide insight into the account's global financial performance as well as forward thinking modelling and advice to support financial decisions. Additionally, the GAFA will introduce implementation frameworks for key financial processes in order to optimize global performance while providing a clear view of the account performance to Account, Regional and Finance Leadership teams.

Your key responsibilities

In this role you will be delivering margin modelling and advising the Global Client Service Partner on the financial aspect of account's strategic planning process, along with continually monitoring and measuring the financial success of their strategy. You will also be considered a high-profile contact when it comes to resolving complex issues and as you build your knowledge and experience, you'll become a credible advisor, influencing clients and engagement teams on resolutions that will impact entire industries.

Skills and attributes for success
  • Ability to assimilate large data sets and translate that into commercial terms on a global scale
  • Acting as a trusted business advisor including providing a clear and insightful point of view, demonstrating forward and flexible thinking and challenging business assumptions
  • Pro-actively developing global networks and demonstrate understanding of the global organization and landscape in which our clients operate.
  • Ability to provide account teams with a clear understanding of the impact / benefit of applying Master Service Agreements (MSA), rate cards and other client procurement requirements on the largest and most complex pursuits to achieve the best margin outcome
  • Demonstrated experience on advising of financial performance and forecast expectations against revenue plan throughout the year, with insights and recommendations to achieve optimal financial performance

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to understand commercial drivers of account performance
  • Exceptional written and oral presentation skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and articulate manner
  • Proven ability to build credibility and trust with senior stakeholders across various regions
  • Proactive approach to work and the ability to anticipate the needs of the business and deliver accordingly

Ideally, you'll also have

  • Experience of working in finance or operations within a professional services or consultancy environment
  • A recognised global accounting qualification (or PQE considered)
