Our client is a growing £450m multi-site retailer who seek to hire a Regional Finance Manager. The role will take ownership of the South East region c£55m made up of 70 contracts. This role will report to the Finance Director and partner the Regional Director and his senior management team. The role will be mobile most of the time, but Reading would be main office point of contact (maybe 1 day a week). Most of the contracts and sites are south of the M4 down to the south coast. Responsibilities will be broad and include:
  • Operate in a finance business partner role, supporting nominated Regional Directors to manage their business to ambitious financial targets
  • Use trend analysis and forecasting to techniques to highlight risk and opportunity in a timely manner to maximise benefit to the business
  • Provide support and training to operational teams to ensure Operations Managers and Location Managers can maximise the operational efficiency of their teams and contracts
  • Identify and implement initiatives at a regional level to deliver sustainable operational improvements
  • Support the mobilisation of new contracts, including building realistic operating budgets, monitoring performance during initial trading and working with the Operations team to implement any corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Support the regional month end process, reviewing proposed adjustments and challenging Operations Managers on performance
  • Provide meaningful and insightful reporting an analysis to support regional operational review meetings

A salary of £50,000-£55,000 is on offer plus £6k car allowance, fuel card and a bonus which pays at between £4.5-6.5k.
