We have made several organisational changes which has opened up the opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our high performing team!

As the Senior Accountant…

You will…
  • Work closely with external and internal stakeholders on subject matters that impact the organisational and business development of BeCool
  • Oversee the financial reporting of BeCool. This includes finalisation of monthly accounts, detailed analysis and commentary, completion of reporting pack for group reporting
  • Be responsible for supervising the team to ensure all deadlines are met and identify and implement process improvements
  • Implement best practices around internal controls that impacts financial reporting and also work with senior management in optimising systems and processes
  • Oversee the tax framework and work with the external tax accountants on various subject matters
  • Prepare budgeting, forecasting and analysis of monthly management accounts, internal reports and support the senior management in identifying cost drivers, revenue streams and profitability analysis
  • You will provide detailed insight on the financial performance of BeCool and analyse key marketing and operational metrics
  • Investigate and maintain data integrity
  • Improve processes around month end close and day to day finance operations

What we're looking for...
  • CA qualification (or equivalent) as well as a degree in business (Accounting/Commerce etc)
  • A strong working knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts
  • Experience working in the finance industry - ideal for a first mover from chartered to commercial.
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) of working in a fast-paced business and a role which involves offering business critical analysis
  • Strong Excel (pivot tables/v-look) and software skills
  • Passion, drive and fantastic communication skills
  • Ability to mentor people and influence business decisions that require close collaboration with senior management and non-finance personnel
  • Understanding of consolidations, intercompany charges and relevant tax charges
  • Keen to grow with a fast-growing organisation and turn your experience with BeCool into a platform for future career growth
  • Able to work autonomously and with limited direction
  • Proactive, ambitious, and assertive: you take ownership of your work and think beyond the scope of a given assignment
