OFFICER, FINANCIAL TRANSACTION (JESS) OVERVIEW: KPMG in Jamaica seeks to identify an Officer, Engagement Management (EMC) who will be The JESS Engagement Management Specialist resources are responsible for performing various tasks in accordance with standard operating procedures provided by the Clients' EMC team including, but not limited to performing data entry and processing tasks to support the EMC team. The position will be assigned to our rapidly growing KPMG Jamaica Expanded Support Services (JESS) which provides services to a major client in the United States. Core functions Performs data entry of engagement information into SYNC. This includes engagement/phase setup, ERP changes, engagement/phase status changes, billing, role changes, business area/profit center changes and T&E adjustments. Coordinate invoice maintenance process with Accounts Receivable team - prepare replacement invoices, process credit notes, cash re-application, submit refund requests Retrieve/provide invoice copies Calculates engagement gain/loss utilizing the Aperture tool (Excel) Consolidate and submit month end ERP/Close impact report for Practice Leader Approvals Process ERP changes/closeouts/WIP adjustments Retrieve WIPs, T&E Details, and other adhoc reports from reporting systems Update Unbilled & AR Tools with comments on DASC website Submit journal entries for CD corrections Create/Edit/Update/Close Internal codes Professional qualification The successful candidate should possess: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and COMPETENCIES: Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or Equivalent Professional Accreditation At least two years relevant work experience in the Finance & Accounting field or a similar process Technical Intermediate knowledge and use of office productivity tools (MS Excel) Intermediate knowledge and use of other business information systems Ability to complete higher complexity tasks OR intermediate complexity tasks at higher volumes accurately and completely with high degree of independence Interpersonal Strong team player that supports more junior members and improves overall team performance Strong communication skills and interpersonal judgment Ability to communicate very effectively both orally and in writing Capable of being entrusted with "confidential" information Identifies opportunities to optimize processes and team performance Ability to be flexible with job duties and scope of work Ability to resolve escalated issues within work scope Leadership Builds productive work relationships with peers and stakeholders Demonstrates self-confidence and awareness of actions Takes ownership and accountability for work quality and outcomes We thank all interested applicants however only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
