Description
Production of accurate monthly budget reports to meet the full requirements of cost centre managers
Collection of financial information and data for the preparation of the forecasts and annual budgets, to include the scrutiny of budget assumptions
Regularly meet with budget holders to review actual, planned and projected financial performance, professionally representing the Finance Department
Provide budget holders with financial insight and challenge, adding demonstrable value
Identify monthly accounting adjustments required to ensure accurate financial performance recorded
Communication of key financial performance data to the Head of Finance
Support budget holders in income maximisation, cost control and financial efficiency
Support budget holders in making quality financial decisions to achieve financial targets
Support budget holders in assuming greater degrees of financial accountability by providing local coaching and training to improve financial confidence and competence
Work closely with the Financial Accountant to ensure accounts show a true and fair positon and that cash-flow forecasts are accurate
Develop the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of financial reports/management information and financial tools and templates associated with performance evaluation
Provision of ad hoc analysis and support as required by key stakeholders including projects and other initiatives
Profile
The ideal candidate for the Finance Business Partner position:
Qualified AccountantExperience of producing management accounts
Experience of delivering an effective business partner service
Ability to deal with a large volume of work whilst maintaining accuracy
Excellent Excel skills
Ability and willingness to travel and work at all college campuses
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to develop working relationships with stakeholders
