Description

Main duties

• Accurately record service chargeable expenditure on a scheme basis at block and estate level.

• Ensure that all service chargeable expenditure has been correctly recorded and analysed to the correct scheme and that expenditure is itemised to produce breakdowns for residents of costs incurred, to include day-to-day repairs.

• Assist with financial information for the annual Service Charge accounts.

• Liaise with external and internal auditors.

• Assist in the preparation of variable service charge statements.

• Prepare accurate annual reconciliation of service charge expenditure and recovery.

• Assist in maintaining necessary controls in respect of both input and audit trails

• Participate in the ad-hoc training of colleagues for all processes

• Undertake system testing as required

• Absence cover for Colleagues.

• Any reasonable Ad-hoc request as required.

• Deal with and resolve queries in relation to own area of work.

• Work to ensure effective inter departmental liaison and service level agreements are achieved.

Profile

The successful candidate

• Proven experience of a computerised accounting system

• Proven experience of working with complex control accounts

• Excellent Excel, Access and word-processing skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills at all level

• Able to plan and prioritise high volume workloads

• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

• Strong attention to detail, self-motivated

• Able to work in a team environment

• A flexible approach to the needs of the job

• Able to demonstrate good customer service Skills
