My client has recently completed a integration with a global brand industrial software business making a global leader in the software industry with an imternational reach with over 4000 employees.

Client Details

The new role of Group Revenue Accountant has been created to support the Group Finance team to manage the increased complexity of the group. As a key member of the Group Accounting team based at the head office in Cambridge, this role will be to manage the technical accounting and assurance over revenue for the Group.

Description

Reporting to the Head of Accounting, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Ensuring high technical standards and accounting compliance across the group in line with IFRS 15

  • Technical guidance and support and response to ad hoc queries from group finance, local controllers and the Commercial and Sales functions

  • Calculation of revenue specific consolidation adjustments (for example fair value of contract assets on acquisition)

  • Responsible for the training of local and regional controllers in revenue recognition under IFRS 15

  • Responsible for revenue recognition policies and updates to the Group Accounting Manual Responsible for the design and maintenance of revenue recognition rules within the ERP

  • Supporting the external audit process, interacting with the audit team and providing relevant documentation

Profile

  • The successful candidate will be positive and proactive
  • Ensuring that the group revenue is compliant with accounting standards
  • Being seen as the group's key subject matter expert for revenue recognition
  • Qualified accountant from either practice or industry
  • Experience of consulting, auditing or reporting under IFRS 15
  • Build key working relationships across the business
  • Keen to take ownership for the revenue accounting and to use a problem solving ethos to find and develop solutions and simplicity
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and develop relationships

Job Offer
