Assistant Accountant

My client is looking for an Assistant Accountant currently studying ACCA / CIMA to focus on the revenue accounting for the business. Accounts Receivable and cash flow experience required.

This leading global fashion company are a well known brand within the industry. Their head accounting office is based in the City of London.

Description

As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the following:

Accounts Receivable:

• Supervising company's credit control and assisting brands with their credit control
• Reconciling AR ledger
• Updating debtors ledger with order confirmations
• Updating debtors ledger with invoices
• Updating debtors ledger and one-drive document with receipts

Analysis:

• PK Commission on agency brands - following up on commission reports, cross-referencing commission reports with company records, following up on queries and discrepancies with brands, raising commission invoices and making sure they are paid on time
• Assisting with short and long term cash flow forecast
• Company P&L forecast and P&Ls per brand forecast
• Assisting with budget preparation for brand managers - setting up sales goals

Overheads:

• Updating staff prepaid expenses,
• Processing expenses to reimburse and making sure they are paid on timely manner
• Updating petty cash receipts
• Supervising and implementing expenses policies and procedures

Bank:

• EURO bank reconciliation,
• Petty cash reconciliation

Profile

To be considered for the role of Assistant Accountant you must have the following:

• Actively studying ACCA or CIMA
• Strong Accounts Receivable experience
• Good knowledge of cash flow forecasting
• Retail / fashion industry experience highly desirable
