Interim Financial Controller, to start immediately, Coventry, Circa £50,000 per annum
Your new company
Hays Senior Finance are working in partnership with this manufacturing SME in Coventry, to recruit an Interim FC. Reporting to the UK FD, the UK Finance Controller is responsible for all financial aspects of UK operations, including manufacturing and supply chain. Managing the UK team covering Financial accounting, Accounts payable, Credit control and Costing. Working with the Group FD towards management of Group's overall reporting and consolidation, including audit, taxation and associated compliance of UK operating company.
Your new role
Key Accountabilities::
UK Accounting and Support
* Management of Financial and General accounting for group's UK operations, including any new system upgrades and implementations
* Management of UK Accounts Payable covering supplier interface and UK Banking and payments
* Management of UK collections and Credit Control, including cash forecasting for UK collections
* Management of payroll for UK operations, including PAYE and Pension contributions
* Management of UK Vat, Interstat and other applicable statutes and requirements toward compliance and accounting need for UK operations
* Management of Manufacturing cost accounting and costing function, including review of standards and monthly reporting against standards
The UK Finance controller will lead the UK budgeting as well as UK's monthly closing and preparation of monthly management accounts including:
* Review and Issue UK flash results
* Review and Issue UK MIS pack in line with group timetable
* Provision of monthly finance Commentary for UK - operating and holding
* Provide Weekly UK Performance Packs
* Development of new MIS required for UK business needs
* Lead UK Revenue and Cost Budgeting Exercise, aligned to Group budgeting
Business Partnering & Business support
The UK Finance controller will act as Finance business partner to UK operations by providing support across various financial and commercial areas including:
* Developing annual fixed cost budgets for operations and reporting performance against the same
* Maintain product costing standards, including new products
* Interface with supply chain in order to define stocking policy and monitor performance against standards
* Developing new KPIs (daily, weekly or Monthly) focused on tracking efficiency of manufacturing operations
* Conducting evaluation of major capital expenditures across the group, including support to internal customers towards payback evaluation and developing board proposal for the Capex
* Management of UK Audit, in line with the group time table, including costing, & valuation and
completion of Tax packs & Tax reporting
* Lead group activity on global transfer pricing, ensuring due compliance
What you'll need to succeed
An enthusiastic finance professional with experience in ERP across multicultural / multi- currency environment in engineering / manufacturing sector
Highly numeric / strong analysis skills with a formal Accountancy qualification (CIMA/ ACA/ ACCA or an
MBA), or qualified by experience
An eye for detail, focused on implementing robust controls and processes
Experienced in statutory accounting and management of audits
You must be available at immediate or short notice
