Tax - Senior Manager - Energy & Compliance

Role Summary (brief high-level description of the role): As a Senior Manager, the incumbent will provide tax services to a variety of our top-tier clients, pursue new business opportunities and provide managerial oversight and leadership. • Advise our clients on all aspects of taxation including energy, compliance, consulting, planning and transfer pricing assignments. • Manage a portfolio of clients and supervise associated engagement teams. • Coach junior staff and appraise the performance of team members supervised. • Participate in marketing, PR and other business development initiatives. Capabilities / Skills Required: • Strong interpersonal and selling skills. • Ability to efficiently manage client portfolios and associated engagement teams. • Strong writing and presentation skills. • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. • Ability to quickly grow and move to partner level. Education Level (minimum requirement plus any additional desirable qualifications): • Qualified Accountant, having completed the ACCA or CPA (or similar) examinations. • Legal qualifications and/or an attorney with tax experience • ADIT, or other suitable tax qualification is desirable. Experience Level (number of years required and in what fields / industries): • 5+ years experience at a senior manager or manager level in a Big 4 or similar tax practice. • Membership with the ICAJ is beneficial. • Strong working knowledge of Trinidad & Tobago direct and indirect tax law or other suitable Commonwealth regime. • Energy industry experience is desirable. Other Details / Requirements (e.g. travel/other commitments): • A confident communicator and presenter who is comfortable interacting at all levels. • Personal flexibility to facilitate travel on overseas or out of town assignments.
