INVENTORY OFFICER

Inventory Officer The Inventory Officer is responsible for keeping track of all products and supplies, ensuring that stock is organized, assisting in the unloading and processing of deliveries. He/she is responsible to keep count of products and supplies, ensures that company inventory remains balanced, restock supplies, maintains inventory records, manage the inventory control system and make recommendations for improvement as necessary. Main Responsibilities: Counts, maintains and update inventory records. Verifies clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies. Reconcile inventory discrepancies by comparing inventories to office records or computes figures from records, such as sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to obtain current inventory. Prepares reports, such as inventory balance, price lists, and shortages. Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures according to company policy. Implement a loss prevention program according to company policy. Report any stock issues/discrepancies to management detailing any overstock or missing items. Prepare orders as necessary to replenish stock. Receive all deliveries and organize inventory in store room. Files all delivery and inventory receipts Uses inventory software to keep track of orders, returns and supplies Perform other duties as assigned. Qualification & Experience required: A Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Accounting or similar field Minimum of 2 years' experience in inventory control Excellent communication and organizational skills Pays close attention to details Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and works well with a team Manages time efficiently Ability to lift boxes or other items on a regular basis Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) Ability to work extended hours as needed
