Responsibilities:
This role involves the management and oversight over the APAC firms’ books and records and the system of controls around financial reporting, while also working in conjunction with the accounting teams in Hong Kong and globally. This includes the review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related filings. This individual will also be heavily involved in accounting policy decisions, HKFRS interpretations, and will work closely with the outside auditors and advisers. Specifically, this individual will proactively address accounting issues as they arise and consider the impact across the firm in order to develop, document, and implement accounting policies and procedures associated with new and/or unusual transactions or as a result of changes in the relevant GAAP.
You must have:
• 12+ years’ experience in an accounting background, preferbly from Big 4 withtop tier investment banks,hedge funds or asset managers in Asia
• Strong management experience for more than 5 years
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory regimes a plus
• Prior exposure to corporate tax
• Deep understanding in HKFRS, IFRS and PRC GAAP
• Experience reviewing financial statements and being heavily involved in the audit process
• Extremelystrong communication skills both verbal and written in English
