Description

Assistant Accountant duties and responsibilities;

  • Monthly journals, accruals & Prepayments
  • Month end closure routine to trial balance
  • Responsible for data integrity of nominal ledger to trial balance
  • Sales ledger reconciliation
  • Weekly cash flow reporting
  • Reconciliation of debtors ledger
  • Payment authorisation
  • Monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Fixed Asset Maintenance
  • VAT returns
  • Assist with year end preparation and Audit files
  • Provide cover for purchase ledger
  • Profile

    The successful interim Assistant Accountant will have confidence to come in and hit the ground running in the majority of the above listed duties and ideally have used Sage 200 however usage of other similar accounting software will also be considered. Please find below an outline of the characteristics and experience required in the right individual based locally to Milton Keynes

  • Previous experience in an Accounting role dealing with nominal ledger to trial balance
  • At least 2 years similar experience
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and vibrant environment
  • Strong excel and ideally Sage 200 exposure or similar system
  • Attention to detail
  • Professional and sociable with good communications skills to regularly work with the Sales function
