Description of business unit

GIA, Markets & Treasury & Group Market Risk. Specific responsibility for providing Audit Assurance over BOI Group Treasury, Global Markets and Group Market risk activities.

Purpose of the Role

GIA requires a person with specific quantitative skills and significant experience working in a 2nd line of defence role in Banking, to assist GIA in the completion of a Q2 and Q3 Audits - The Audit of Group Market Risk and the Audit of Treasury.

Key Accountabilities

Assist Audit Team in identifying key risks within BOI Group Market Risk and Treasury divisions.

  • Assist Audit team in identifying expected controls to manage these key risks.
  • Assist Audit team in testing whether these key controls are adequate and/or effective.
  • Perform Data Analytics work on testing the accuracy and completeness of market risk calculations.
  • Cross train and transfer technical knowledge to Audit team staff during the audit.
  • Assist Audit Manager and Portfolio lead in identifying Audit Issues, landing them with the Auditee and completing an Audit Report to send to Management.

What is the opportunity

This opportunity will involve the following;

  • Developing and Managing Senior Business Management relationships on behalf of GIA.
  • Leading out on and managing the delivery of critical Treasury and Group Market Risk Audits.
  • Providing an independent audit opinion and risk assurance over Treasury and Group Market Risk audit coverage.

Essential Qualifications

At least 9 years experience working in Risk Management in Financial Institutions.

  • Technical skills - advanced modelling, data analysis and stress testing.
  • At least Masters level qualification in Risk Management.

  • Technical skills - Advanced modelling, data analytics and stress testing.

Desirable Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • At least 9 years experience working in Risk Management in Financial Institutions.
  • Technical skills - Advanced modelling, data analytics and stress testing.
  • Degree level or higher qualification in Risk Management in Financial Services Industry.
