Dynamite Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join one of our top clients based in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly and experienced team.

The main purpose of this role is to communicate with customers ensuring debt is kept to a minimum and to ensure payments due are reconciled with their account and support the Sales Ledger team with ad doc duties.

The Role:

• Chase payment of overdue accounts by telephone and email
• Review credit limits and assess whether further credit can be allowed on the account
• Process incoming customer invoice queries/problems.
• Reporting aged analysis with progress detail, including any problems obtaining payment.
• Cash posting to the correct accounts
• Sending customers copy invoices or statements when required
• Upload invoices to online portals
• Answer incoming phone calls, deal with Sales Ledger enquiries and distribute other calls where required
• Download and print credit reports for new account applications and credit limit reviews, prepare for authorisation
• Open new accounts following authorisation
• Register account/invoice queries and communicate as per process
• General Daily Filing
• Process payments
• Ad-hoc duties as requested

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a similar position
• A self-starter and team player
• Organised and have good attention to detail
• Must be adaptable and confident
• Must have very good communication skills
