Description
Based in our Aldersgate London office, the Outsourcing team provides clients with the full range of accounting and back office services, including bookkeeping, management accounting, VAT compliance, forecasting and budgeting and any other ad hoc advice and assistance on accounting matters.
The purpose of this role is to assist senior members of the Outsourcing department with client work and ad hoc tasks and also to supervise junior members of the team.
Responsibilities:
Manage multiple clients and deadlines each week/month
Act as the first point of contact for the client, ensuring that all communication, whether written or spoken is in a professional manner
Assist clients with ad hoc questions
Assist clients with the use of accounting systems, such as Xero, QBO and Twinfield
Solid knowledge of double entry and a good knowledge of the requirements of standard accounting policies
Bookkeeping, including preparing, processing and recording bank transactions, processing purchase, sales and general ledger entries for a wide range of clients
Preparation of management accounts, with little supervision which are technically accurate and in-line with FRS 101/FRS 102 requirements
Preparation of VAT returns and have a good understanding of VAT rules so that issues can be spotted and flagged to the manager for attention
Achieve deadlines and understand the commercial implications of actions relating to productivity, recoverability, fee income and client service
Liaise with tax, ESG and other departments for client matters such as tax and payroll details
Preparation of monthly management accounts, and VAT returns which is likely to include the supervision of a more junior member of the team on each job
Prepare year end audit files for clients with supporting schedules for all balance sheet items and tax sensitive profit and loss items.
Dealing with matters arising from the auditors.
Profile
ACCA qualified
Sound bookkeeping skills
Good VAT knowledge
Proven experience of management accounts preparation for UK entities
Experience of audit file preparation and liaison with audit staff
Competent using MS Office particularly Excel
Proficient in use of accounting software

Salary £30,000 to £46,500.
