MB Fitzgerald are currently working with the private client Financial Planning arm of a well-known and respected firm of Chartered Accountants in the Yorkshire area.
Their current requirement is for a University Graduate with little or no work experience to join the business within a Trainee Financial Planner opportunity. This role would suit an individual who has recently graduated and is has shown a keen interest in a role in the financial planning industry.
The company will start you on a structured training program which will take you through to the level 4 Diploma and then onwards, becoming a Chartered Financial Planner. Ideally, they are looking for you to progress to that level within 4 years. This would be through the CII, studying R01-06 but (depending on the candidate) it's likely that you may get some exemptions due to having obtained a certain Degree.
Your role will involve sitting with various departments across the business because they feel that it will be important for you to understand how the whole company works. You'll have a study program and will have study days and training to make sure you pass the exams. Once you understand the role, you'll have more contact with the Advisers and their clients, sitting in on client meetings and building relationships. The idea is that in the future, you'll be ready to take over the client bank of one of the Advisers when they retire.
If you are keen on a role in the financial planning industry and would like to work for a prestigious company who will provide structured progression then this opportunity would be ideal.
Candidates must be Graduates or of Graduate calibre. You should have a keen interest in Financial Planning and this must be shown on your CV, via qualifications, internships, experience or a Financial Services focused degree.
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications and you will also receive a bonus and benefits package.
