A pivotal role leading a team of statutory accountants within a leading international company.
Client Details
A global, diversified technology company and industry leader.
Description
Managing and overseeing the production of all the Group's UK statutory financial statements with substantial complexity and revenue; the Group's primary statements are currently prepared in conformity with US-GAAP and FRS102 for statutory reporting purposes
Managing a team of statutory accountants and working with shared services for statutory as well as general shared services located oversees
Assisting in ensuring that the Group's financial statements and related disclosures are prepared in an environment that is fully compliant with SOX 404
Interfacing with and providing requested information and documentation to the Group's external auditors
Managing the preparation and issuance of UK-related financial filings (statistical, etc.)
Being proactive - managing for future governance changes before implementation
Profile
Ex-Accountancy Practice background
University degree in accounting/finance
Certified/Chartered accountant designation as a must; 10-15 years PQE
Ability and interest to read, analyse and interpret technical accounting literature, technical procedures to prepare technical accounting memos
Experience in public accounting could be advantageous but not mandatory
Very strong knowledge in FRS102, US GAAP and IFRS
